I have enjoyed enhancing other people’s lives through various social care roles. It is wonderful to be working with volunteers, as part of ACE IT, offering an important and unique service.
I take great satisfaction in seeing older people achieve digital confidence and love seeing the moment somebody bonds with new technology.
I love introducing Moose in the Hoose groups to new technology and exciting experiences.
I enjoy supporting older people to use IT in ways they find enjoyable and useful, using skills gained working in education and the voluntary sector.
As Chairperson, I enjoy being a team player to ensure ACE IT’s viability, governance and strategic direction for the good of its beneficiaries.
Personal and professional experience tell me technology enriches life and offers many benefits to people as they get older.
Retired financial services planning and project manager. I recognise how being “online” can benefit older people, and hope to use my skills to help ACE IT thrive.
ACE IT has a partnership arrangement with Changeworks
As a charity, ACE IT relies on grants, donations, fundraising and bequests. Our main source of funding is Edinburgh Integration Joint Board. We are very grateful for all the generous donations we receive each year. We would like to extend a huge thank you to the Trusts and Foundations below for their financial assistance, and to Edinburgh City Council for their continued support. This allows us to deliver our unique and special service to older people across Edinburgh.
