Post of ACE IT Project Manager

Our current Chief Executive – Jenny Ridge – is retiring from the Charity and this allows us an opportunity to restructure and create this new post of Project Manager. 

The Post – Project Manager
Part time – 21 Hours per week . Mon/Tues/Wed alternating Tues/Wed/Thurs
One year contract from 31 March 2018
Rate of pay – £17472 per annum for 21 hours per week
Responsible to – ACE IT Board

Responsible for –  four part time members of staff and 30 volunteers

Duties and responsibilities
Strategic direction
Project management, delivery and development 
Financial and budgetary management  
Staff management  
Reports to the Board

Essential person specification
Experience and knowledge of older people’s issues and working with the voluntary sector at local and government levels 
Interpersonal and inspirational team leadership skills 
Motivation & enthusiasm to drive the charity forwards
Communication skills including the ability to prepare clear, concise reports – written, verbally or using technology
IT literate and familiar with all social media at all levels 
Experience in financial management & fundraising 

Post of ACE IT Charity Trustee

ACE IT Scotland is currently recruiting Charity Trustees who, working with ACE IT’s management and volunteers, ensure the Charity’s pertinent governance and direction.

Trustees are sought who have a background in Commercial/Business, Information Technology, Finance or the Third Sector, to assist with the strategic development and growth of activities in the community across Edinburgh, promoting the quality of life for older people.

As a Trustee, applicants should be available to meet bi-monthly to ensure that the Management Team carries out the necessary legal and financial requirements. Trustee duties can be found at

Skills and Experience

Applicants must be eligible to register as a Director in Scotland. It is essential that applicants have an interest in supporting older people with their IT requirements.
