How to download and use WhatsApp

Find the Store app on your mobile device (Apple App Store or Google Play Store)

Tap on the app.

At the top, you will see the search bar with a magnifying glass icon on the right.

Tap on it – a keyboard will appear, which you use to type in: WhatsApp. Click “Enter” or tap on the Magnifying glass to start the search.

Look for this icon, with the words “WhatsApp Messenger” next to it:

Gently tap it once to open the new window. Click on the button that says “DOWNLOAD” and wait for it to finish.

Once finished, click on OPEN.

Follow the instructions to set up your number with the app. It will send you a code that you must verify from your messages. If you follow each step you will install it in a matter of 1 or 2 minutes.

Once set up, you will see the app inside looking like this:

Once open, tap on the person you want to talk to if you see their name already on the list.

Alternatively, you can tap on the magnifying glass at the top of the screen to look up a name.

Now tap on the name of the person to start a conversation.

Here you will see two icons at the top right: a video camera and a phone.

But if you want to send a text message, tap on the blank space below, where it says “Type a message”.

Your keyboard will appear when you do it, and then you can text.

To send the message, press on the green button with an arrow like this one:

The other person will receive the message immediately, but it doesn’t mean they will read it immediately. Don’t worry, they will reply as soon as they can.
